The Frontier Historical Museum is the keeper of our memories of Western values and a Western way of life. A way of life with lessons learnt that more than ever needs to be shared with a wider community.
The existing Holt Funeral home on 7th Street is a privately owned building. It is a classic example of early 1970s architecture with a high quality design and construction and mature globe willows on the river bank.
If the current owner were willing to sell the property to the City then the funeral home could be re-purposed into the new museum and form a bold entrance to the new park.
With rotating displays and improved visitor numbers the Museum will soon generate it's own revenue reducing the burden on City funds and providing a valuable community asset.
